Consumer board: 43% of sellers violate euro price regulations

Estonian consumer authority says that 43% of service companies and retailers that it inspected in August either failed to show dual prices both in kroons and euros, used inaccurate conversion rates or rounding.

Estonian consumer price index in August was 2.9% higher than a year earlier, while prices remained unchanged from July 2010. Goods were 3.0% and services 2.8% more expensive compared to August of the previous year. Food products were 4.2% and manufactured goods 1.7% more expensive, according to Statistics Estonia.
